CA-Sen: Fiorina's in
CA-Sen: Fiorina's in
Former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina (R) ended months of speculation today by formally announcing her candidacy for Senate in California, a bid that was once touted by national Republicans but has run into structural problems before it even began.
"Throughout my career I've brought people together, and I've solved problems," wrote Fiorina in an editorial in the Orange County Register today. "And that is what is needed in our government today. People who are willing to set aside ego and partisanship and instead work to develop solutions to our problems."

Re: CA-Sen: Fiorina's in
Ipara. I am one that will contribute to her campaign as I live in California and would be elated if she beat Senator Boxer here!
I believe that this lady can really be an asset to our party even though she is what I consider a moderate to right candidate.
In California, she just may have what it takes to overcome the deluge of money she gets from the East for her campaigns.

A gnat in a paper bag would be better than Boxer!

Re: CA-Sen: Fiorina's in
If you don't read the entire article, you'll miss this. Chuck DeVore has been campaigning for awhile already.
Quote:
First and foremost, Fiorina has a primary challenge from her ideological right in the form of state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore. While DeVore won't have the money or the name recognition of Fiorina, he has two things she lacks: a political base of support and solid conservative credentials. As evidence, DeVore scored the endorsement of South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint (R), a rising star in the conservative movement, today; "Chuck DeVore is a proven, tested conservative who is gaining momentum," said DeMint in a statement.
|
Maybe DeVore will be too conservative for California, but this concerns me:
Quote:

"Throughout my career I've brought people together, and I've solved problems," wrote Fiorina in an editorial in the Orange County Register today. "And that is what is needed in our government today. People who are willing to set aside ego and partisanship and instead work to develop solutions to our problems."

We all know the ones most willing to "put aside ego and partisanship and instead work to develop solutions" are Republicans. I will be watching to see if Fiorina is Democrat lite. I think DeVore is also worth watching.

Re: CA-Sen: Fiorina's in
Renee, do you like her because she's female?
She is a McCain protegee.
The DeVore campaign pulled her voting record and she hasn't even voted in the last several elections.
The conservative in the race is Chuck DeVore.
Maybe California won't elect a conservative but Fiorina is a RINO if ever there was one.
