What Did The Justice Department Hide From The 9/11 Commission?

When the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released a report (web site) in January providing new details of Sandy Berger's theft and destruction of classified documents from the National Archives, among those outraged by the revelations were members of the 9/11 Commission. Why? Because at the time of the incident, which took place during the 9/11 Commission hearings, the Justice Department failed to provide the full breadth of evidence against Berger. (You will likely recall that Berger, Clinton's former National Security Advisor, was "preparing" for his testimony before the 9/11 Commission related to the Clinton administration's failed anti-terrorism polices when the scandal took place.)

Where are the cries for an investigation? Of Nancy Smith and whoever in the JD ignored and conveniently omitted reporting Burgler's activities. Can you imagine the outrage and nonstop MSM coverage of this had it been Karl Rove or ANY Republican?

Would be willing to bet it was a Clinton holdover who saw no evil. And - the wimpy wrist-slap he received was more than the JD had requested? What a pile of manure.

I want names, I want an investigation, and I want Burgler's head on a platter.

Justice Department officials ignored the Archives staff member, who had no motive to lie, and sided with Berger who had every reason to lie. The Justice Department made no mention of this eyewitness testimony to the 9/11 commission

Righton, I don't think it was just one JD member who was in on this miscarriage of justice. I think Justice is loaded with liberals who will do anything to get back at the president even if they have to endanger our country to do it.

Had it been Rove or Cheny he'd have been ing from the nearest light pole by now.

Has this news ever actually gotten out in the MSM? If it has, it was quickly ed under the rug.
