Larry Diamond was born on Long Island, New York. After dating a girl in college who was into politics, I got involved in college politics, eventually becoming Vice President of the student government. Once I looked around what the parties believed in and what I believed in, I decided I was definitely not a liberal.

Now that I've been out of college for a few years and working in the financial services industry, I've become a fiscal conservative as well, opposing death taxes and double taxation on dividends. As my wonderful wife gets closer and closer to delivering our first child, I find myself supporting school vouchers more and more.

Living and working as a conservative in New York, I find I can't talk about politics at the office. Many people I know have the same problem where their co-workers are not as well educated on the issues as they are. I'd like to see good candidates elected in our state, and I want to help voters find out more about these candidates.

I was working downtown on September 11th and saw smoke coming out of the World Trade Center. I smelled burning airplane gas fumes as I commuted downtown for the next few months. I now work with people who used to work in the World Trade Center. I strongly support the President in fighting terrorism and keeping America safe -- I've seen the results of terrorism firsthand and would not wish the experience on anybody.
